Penguins arrive just after sunset every night of the year. We recommend guests arrive one hour before penguin arrival time to make their way through the visitor centre then find their seat on our grandstands and settle in. View our Penguin Arrival Calendar to determine what time you should plan to arrive.
Can't make it for the penguin viewing at sunset?
Our Penguin Parade Visitor Centre is open from 10am daily (2pm on Christmas Day). Drop by to explore the interactive displays and learn how our conservation and research work has helped protect Phillip Island's penguin colony since the early 1960s.
