Jumpstart your conservation career with a Nature Parks Internship!

As a Nature Parks intern you will take ownership of a project to develop skills and engage contacts that will assist you in building your conservation future. You’ll also have the chance to explore other opportunities through the Nature Parks assisting in determining your chosen career path.

Each year we offer different projects based on our current work. Previous projects have included:

Cameras in Conservation: Interns joined our vertebrate pest team in deploying, maintaining and analysing our monitoring cameras that capture imagery of wildlife and introduced pest species for conservation purposes.

Beach Nesting Birds: Each year interns assist our beach nesting birds team by monitoring threatened hooded plovers and deploying cameras on nests to collect data around nest successes and failures.

Visitor Research: Sustainable Tourism Development students assisted in creating and deploying surveys to capture visitor data as well as undertaking important research into specific market segments to inform our campaigns and shape our products.
