Introducing Pop Up Live - A Series of Facebook Live Acoustic Music Sessions

We have loved bringing Phillip Island's special Little Penguins to you each night with Penguin Live TV, and are just as delighted to be showcasing some of Phillip Island's local musical talent, with this series of music sessions.

Pop Up Live 1: Maddy May

Maddy grew up in a fishing village on Phillip Island’s shores and in this special live set, you will enjoy the sounds that have carried her into the spotlight, delighting audiences far and wide. On Thursday 24th September, while the penguins gather out at sea, we'll be live-streaming Maddy's soft acoustic tunes from inside the spectacular penguin parade visitor centre.

Tune in from 5:30pm on our Facebook page to be serenaded into the sunset, then await the arrival of Thursday night's Little Penguins.

Pop Up live 2: Nic Huigsloot

Nic is another local singer/songwriter from Phillip Island who loves nothing better than surfing the island’s waves and playing his guitar on the beach. His songs speak to you through softly-spoken lyrics and melodies, and a hearty acoustic style and rhythm that will have you tapping your foot without noticing. His performance was filmed a little earlier in the day at our Koala Conservation Reserve, where the koalas swayed along in the treetops and the birds sang backup.
