National Surfing Reserve Annual Teams Challenge


When: Saturday 30 April 2016 8.30am – 9pm 

Where: Cape Woolamai Surf Life Saving Club beach (main car park)

Who: Ten teams of nine surfers featuring all ages, styles and abilities and some of Phillip Island’s finest surf talent on show.

Event Summary:

Phillip Island National Surfing Reserve Surfing Teams Challenge is an all day tag-team surfing event. 

Back due to popular demand, the event will follow the same tag team format as previous years ensuring a fun-filled day for spectators and surfers of all ages, styles and abilities. 

The 2016 competition categories are: super grommet (under 14), junior (21 and under), open man, open woman, kneeboarder, single fin rider, Malibu rider, over 50 short board rider and Twin Fin (pre-1985) surfer. 

Event Schedule:

8am                 Registration commences

8.30am            Welcome to Country ceremony

                        Surfing commences.

5pm                 Surfing concludes

6pm                 Presentation ceremony at Woolamai Beach Surf Lifesaving Clubhouse.
