Island Glamping Getaways

Whether it’s an island getaway with the family you’re after, or perhaps something a little more intimate with that special someone, Churchill Island’s new glamping experiences are bound to tick all the boxes.

Set in the beautiful and historic grounds of Churchill Island Heritage Farm, the cosy and private tent village boasts superb views out over the lush paddocks to the waters of Westernport Bay. The luxury bell tents include super comfortable air mattresses adorned with thick doonas and soft pillows, and extra creature comforts like a bedside lamp, bath towels, a radio and even a deck of cards.

Families can enjoy a fun filled weekend that starts by meeting a ranger who will take you to your luxury glamping tents. There’s time to relax and take in the views, or perhaps enjoy a leisurely stroll before sitting down to a delicious 2 course meal at the Churchill Island café. After dinner, your ranger will join you for some fun activities to discover some of the island’s secrets including the endangered Easter Barred Bandicoots that now call this place home. Marshmallows by the campfire round off the evening’s adventures perfectly.

After a good night’s sleep, wake up in the morning and help out with some of the farm activities like feeding the animals their breakfast and work up an appetite before enjoying your own breakfast on the café’s sunny deck. The rest of the day is free to explore Churchill Island or cross the bridge back to Phillip Island and see what this popular holiday spot has to offer.

Couples can enjoy their own secret island getaway with an overnight stay in luxurious glamping comfort, enjoying a 2 course dinner which features some or our region’s finest food and wines.  A ranger will take you on a guided tour of the island to explore its natural wonders and uncover some its secrets. Enjoy a leisurely morning, waking to the sounds of the highland cattle lowing in the nearby fields before taking breakfast on the deck of the café overlooking the waters of Westernport Bay.

Couples’ weekends will take place after school holidays have finished on 2 February, 9 February and 16 February at a cost of $500 per couple, so it might be time to start thinking about that Valentine’s Day treat.
