Planned burns for Cape Woolamai in September

Between now and late September, before the short-tailed shearwaters arrive back to their borrows, Phillip Island Nature Parks will undertake a planned burn in accordance with the Nature Parks’ Fire Management Plan. The planned burn is conducted as part of the Bass Coast Municipal Fire Management Plan and will occur on days with suitable weather conditions. Conducting planned burns during spring assists with fire prevention and ecological management.
