Major wetlands can be found at Fishers Land (near Churchill Island), Swan Lake and Rhyll. Much of the northern coast of Phillip Island Nature Parks borders the Churchill Island Marine National Park and the Western Port Ramsar site (wetlands of international significance). Phillip Island Nature Parks is monitoring the health of wetlands by undertaking frog surveys, bird counts and water quality testing.
